Direct Air Capture

InnoSepra’s Direct Air Capture Technology is based on physical sorbents with low heats of adsorption. The materials are low cost, are very stable during operation and can be scaled up very quickly to thousands of tons quantities needed for commercial implementation of Direct Air Capture. The low heats of adsorption can reduce the energy needed for Direct Air Capture by more than 50% compared to reaction-based systems and low materials and process equipment cost can reduce the capital needed by more than 50% leading to more than 50% reduction in the cost of CO2 capture from air.

Direct Air Capture Planned Demonstration

Bench scale demonstration of InnoSepra’s Direct Air Capture Technology is planned in early 2023 at National Carbon Capture Center in Wilsonville, Alabama.

Direct Air Capture Value Proposition

The InnoSepra DAC technology has the potential for more than 50% reduction in the energy required for direct air capture (below 4 GJ/Tonne) compared to current state of the art DAC technologies. The InnoSepra technology also provides opportunity for a significant reduction in the capital required for DAC. When fully developed, the InnoSepra technology can provide >95% purity CO2, meeting the EOR/sequestration product specifications at a cost of less than $200/Tonne. The InnoSepra materials are low cost and can be produced in the quantities needed for wide scale deployment of DAC quickly.
